In the 81st year of his death, the Kossuth Award-winning actor Ildikó Pécsi told the local government in Gödöllő on Saturday.

Born on May 21, 1940 in Bulgar, Ildikó Pécsi graduated in 1962 from the Faculty of Theater and Film Arts. He contracted with the Paquis National Theater, then between 1966 and 1970 he was a member of the Comedy Theater. He spent three or three years at the Microscope Theater and at the Katona József Theater in Kecskemét. Between 1976 and 1985 he played at the Radnóti Theater and from 1985 to 1990 at the People’s Theater. Since 1990 he has been an artist at the Joseph Attila Theater. He sang at Crown Podium evenings and across the country with his solo performances (Love, Between Flowers and Snakes, My Lonely, Trust, I Was Born Greek).
From 1994 to 1998 he was a Member of Parliament at MSZP. Since 1980, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Theater Workers’ Union and has also served as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Help Foundation.
