“The interior of the school yard, pushed out of its surroundings, provides protection, but with its wall open towards the lake, it illuminates the possibility of adventure before curious eyes.” The project will be presented by the designers.
place was given. On the edge of town on the shore of the lake. Today it is still arable land, separated from the road by a line of trees, with a stream running towards the lake on either side. It opens horizons with its emptiness. An axis forms in the horizons: one end is the road, the other is lost in the lake. The image of the school is defined on the chain between the two endpoints. A lifelong educational institution. On the one hand, this place is associated with the ever-changing and rapidly changing physical world, but at the same time it is full of longing for the inhabitant who patiently awaits his turn – eternity is in no hurry – a transcendent world full of faith.
Between the two, in a state of equilibrium, the Reformed School could be born. In the middle of it children’s noise, bubbly life. Turned out from its surroundings, the interior space of the school yard provides protection, but with its wall open towards the lake, it illuminates the possibility of adventure before curious eyes. The almost symmetrically constructed walls are whitewashed in a circle, their arches suggesting ancient power. Obviously, this is a space for education. Light permeates her public spaces, almost glimmering from within. The reformers are building a school, which is very good.
