From the September 11 broadcast content.
Come with us on Wednesday to a place that is not just an exhibition space, but also an everyday place for family life. Although Gustav Zittel had both photographic and archaeological ambitions, his father sent him home to the successful vinegar and spirits factory, fulfilling his parents’ will, but in his spare time he painted, drew, collected and collected antiquities with passion and with his dear friend, Ferenc Storno Jr., two of the most beautiful private collections in Sopron were created. The legendary friendship is presented through private objects, in a private apartment, which is both a museum and a space for family life. How they survived the 1945 looting, how they stayed together after the distillery was nationalized and the apartment that housed the collection was taken away, and yet they are still here in the house today – yes, as tenants. Since then, the descendant’s family, Aage Langer, has been showing them to all interested people.
