In just a decade, the Hermann Otto Museum is now expanding with a second new part of the building: after the handover of the Pannonian Sea Museum in 2013, a new picture gallery has been built, and as part of the institutional development, the hall has been used in order to preserve the ancient trees of Bokkabrani, It is being converted into a modern restoration workshop. Construction is also affecting the reception area on the ground floor of the main building. This is where the new main staircase begins, which will open onto a spacious gallery-style public square. In the program, we will also learn about the concept of a renewed exhibition, which according to intentions will be more than just a classic exhibition. We'll also take a closer look at some photos of the future permanent exhibition. Dr. Peter Szoliak, Director of the Hermann Otto Museum, historian, talks about all this; Edina Toth, Head of Art Conservation Department, silicate artist conservator; Assistant Museum Scientist Akos Barkucci tells the story.
