From content broadcast on February 19.
In 1976, the government housing estate on the site of today's Havana, built for Trianon refugees between 1921 and 1924, was demolished. Nothing remained there except the two churches, one for the Unitarians and the other for the Catholics. But how were they saved? How can those who have praised God for years in a sea of mud, in a building at 14 degrees below zero, many times without believers, guard the flame? Why love still flows today for an “irregular priest”, Uncle Lasse Somogyi, whose church was ransacked – multiple times – and then whose valuables were stolen after his sermon… You will hear about all this on Monday, on the February 19 Healy broadcast. Thanks to the right owner, Lagos Tomori Museum, for the archive photos!
