Manchester United, the host, beat Roma 6-2, and Villarreal beat Arsenal 2-1 in the first match of the European Football League semi-final, Thursday.
In Manchester, the Italians led 2-1 during the break, and Edin Dzeko scored their second goal, who has already scored three goals on three different club teams, three different championships, and three different contracts at Old Trafford.
Bruno Fernandes, who was also successful in the first half, scored from the penalty area in the second quarter, and his 20th goal was a penalty kick in United colors.
Arsenal didn’t hit their Spanish opponent’s goal in the first quarter, yet he managed to score a result that kept his chances of reaching the finals alive.
The matches will take place in a week and the finals will be held on May 26 in Gdansk.
