McLaren revealed in a unique way the date of presenting its racing car for the year 2024, as the team published a video in which it revealed the appearance of the car’s paint and also announced the date of its unveiling.
With the exception of Haas and AlphaTauri, all teams have already announced when they will reveal their 2024 car – most recently, and in a unique way, McLaren. The Orange team has surprisingly revealed the 2024 livery and announced that as an “add-on” the car itself will be presented on February 14, when it will take part in a round at the Silverstone circuit.
The team's car will therefore debut at the same time and in the same place as Mercedes: the stars have already revealed that they will present their car on February 14, and the location will be the classic track that hosts the British Grand Prix.
Orange once again dominates the car's color scheme (but plenty of black has also been added to the body); They returned to this in the 2017 season, after deciding to replace the chrome used until then, then the red and black and return to the color they used in the 1960s, when founder Bruce McLaren was still driving the team.
As for the name, the model was named MCL38, meaning that the team returned to the classic “serial numbering” after celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2023 by naming their car MCL60 (MCL37 was deleted, and in 2022 the car was coded MCL36).
