Mercedes-Benz is seriously preparing for the 2024 Consumer Electronics Show, i.e. CES. Thousands of manufacturers will present new technological innovations at the show, which will be held in Las Vegas from January 9 to 12, including many car manufacturers. Mercedes will also be present and the car manufacturer will bring with it many innovations, including the MBUX Virtual Assistant program, a system based on artificial intelligence, that is, artificial intelligence, that promotes more human communication between the driver and the car.
Also appearing in Las Vegas will be the Concept CLA, Mercedes' new four-door sedan, which the manufacturer promises a range of up to 750 kilometers. The concept car is intended to be the flagship of the German manufacturer's new entry-level car range, after Mercedes decided to make its A- and B-Classes a little thinner. Of the current seven models, they will only want four, which they hope will be electric.
In principle, the Concept CLA received an 800-volt system, which can charge the car for 400 kilometers in just 15 minutes, consuming 12 kilowatt-hours per 100 kilometers. Because of the latter, Mercedes refers to the concept of the model as a “one-litre” car, where 12 kWh can best be compared to the gasoline consumption of a conventional internal combustion car.
According to the manufacturer, the virtual assistant takes the simple voice-controlled assistant “Hey, Mercedes” to a new level, as they create an assistant with such dimension and tone of voice that it can be mistaken for a human voice rather than a human voice. The noise of the machine will be felt on it. That's why Mercedes has asked for help from software development company Unity Technologies from San Francisco, and the two companies will work together on the new MB.OS operating system for Mercedes models. According to the manufacturer, the first models equipped with this better, stronger and faster system may appear as early as 2024.
