Microsoft: China is trying to interfere in the US elections

This is according to a report issued by Microsoft on Wednesday

A network of social media bots controlled by China is trying to influence voters in Alabama, Texas and Tennessee.

According to research Fake accounts primarily target Republican politicians, Including Alabama Representative Barry Moore, Texas Representative Michael McCaul, Tennessee Senator Marsha Blackburn, and Florida Senator Marco Rubio. They are being attacked.

According to experts, this action represents a coordinated attempt to interfere in the House of Representatives elections. The troll network, known as the “Condolence Flood,” “repeated anti-Semitic messages, promoted corruption allegations and promoted opposition candidates.” According to researchers, the group had previous ties to the Chinese Ministry of Public Security.

According to the report, the lawmakers were targeted because of their previous condemnation of the Chinese government's policies. But a spokesman for the Chinese Embassy in Washington denied these allegations, saying, “China has no intention and will not interfere in the American elections.”

Microsoft researchers said the influencers' efforts did not result in “high levels of engagement,” though precise numbers about how many Americans viewed the relevant social media posts were not disclosed.

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence, which coordinates federal efforts to protect elections from foreign influence, has not yet responded to the report.
