Although Sweden recently became a full member of NATO, it has already provided significant support to Ukraine. In addition to the Archer self-propelled guns and CV 90 infantry fighting vehicles, two first-line air surveillance aircraft will now be delivered, one of the Internet portals said, citing the Swedish Ministry of Defense. They can detect enemy aircraft, cruise missiles, drones or ships from a distance of 300-400 km.
The Saab 340 AEW&C aircraft are also equipped with the NATO unified Link-16 data communications system, which can transmit real-time combat information protected from interference. Through this, it will be possible to effectively support the deployments of F-16 fighter-bombers, which will also arrive in Ukraine soon. Target data detected by aerial surveillance devices can be played encrypted and instantly to attacking devices. Hungarian Gripens are also equipped with this data transmission equipment.

However, the portal indicates in relation to the news that training the crew of airspace monitoring machines takes at least a year. Therefore, the training of Ukrainian operators could have started earlier in Sweden.
