Moondrop has unveiled its first smartphone, the MIAD 01. The name stands for Mobile Internet Audio Device and, as you can imagine, refers to the audio focus of the phone.
In the teaser image, we can see the back of the phone in white and with a striped design. The camera department has been raised and has a dual camera system in addition to the branding. Here we also see that the phone announces the presence of a dual headphone jack. Although none of the jacks are visible in the image, perhaps because they are on the invisible top edge of the device, we can confirm that there are 4.4mm and 3.5mm jacks. The 4.4mm jack provides balanced sound, while the 3.5mm single-ended output has microphone support.
If the smartphone can be used as a HiFi player with a sleek and slim body, featuring 3.5mm + 4.4mm interfaces, it provides smooth operation for daily use. … pic.twitter.com/EuQapBgfjQ

The image only shows the power and volume buttons on the right side of the phone, which are orange to match the rest of the phone's orange accents. The phone features flat sides with sharp corners.
The MIAD 01 was first showcased in February, when the smartphone category suddenly appeared on the Moondrop website. The page, which has not been changed at the time of writing, depicts the wordmark for the MIAD 01 name and the soon-to-be-released nameplate. We hope the page will be updated with the new teaser image soon.
The latest Telefongurus news is here!
Moondrop is a Chinese audio brand known for its IEMs and other audio products. The company has recently expanded its production of mechanical keyboards with high-quality sound output for audiophiles. The MIAD 01 sounds like an acoustic style product. Still, it's a pretty big jump in terms of IEMs and keyboards, but we'll just have to wait for the company to release more details about this device.
