Nearly 10GB of Twitter user data may have been leaked – Cyber Press writesThat may not seem like a lot at first glance, but since we're not talking about 8K movies or the latest Call of Duty game, it actually contains a lot of data: more than 200 million.

The data was uploaded in a total of ten files, including email addresses, names, and the most important user data (date created, number of followers, etc.).
This alone is not enough to hack accounts, but they can send phishing emails to the collected addresses, which in turn can be used to obtain passwords if people are not careful enough. Additionally, users can be found on other sites using the username and email pair, and since many people use the same password with the same user on different sites, it is enough to pull this sensitive data from just one site.
In order to avoid problems caused by leaks, it's a good idea to turn on two-step login where possible, verify that emails that appear to be authentic about data are actually coming from where they say they are, and monitor their user account activity to see if someone else has logged in.
Cyber Press notified Twitter of the leak, but had not received a response by the time of publication.
