A dangerous heat wave is reportedly hitting the northern and central parts of India, with some measuring stations in the capital, New Delhi, recording more than 52 degrees on Wednesday. BBC. The Indian Meteorological Department has not yet ratified this extreme measurement, which will be considered a record temperature in the country, but in the past few days 45 degrees were measured in 37 Indian cities, and in Delhi, according to approved measurements, 49 degrees were recorded in the past few days.

The city administration is trying to respond to the heatwave by penalizing water wastage, and the authorities will make sure that no one washes cars and uses water for similar things while the extreme heat continues. Life in the city has essentially stopped. It is reportedly difficult to even stand in the sun in the hot weather, trials in one of the city's courts have been suspended, and the city administration has ordered a three-hour break for workers on construction sites during the hottest hours. Those who can combat the heat with air conditioners or fans, but because of this, electricity consumption in the city has risen dramatically.

The heat has more serious consequences in other cities. Three people died in Jaipur on Tuesday after suffering heatstroke, and many people were transferred to hospitals due to the heat in several other cities, and dangerous fires are burning in the states of Jammu and Kashmir, fueled by the heat wave.
