Russia will not participate in the second peace conference scheduled to be held in Ukraine, the Moscow Foreign Affairs Spokesman announced on Saturday.
Maria Zaharova said in her statement that the second conference will have the same goal as the Swiss summit in June: “to promote the Zelenskyy formula as a basis for conflict management, gain the support of the majority of countries, and give Russia a chance to reach a solution.” An ultimatum about surrender.
“We will not participate in such summits,” he said, adding that “the action is another scam by the Anglo-Saxons and their Ukrainian agents, and has nothing to do with resolving the conflict.” Zaharova said Russia was ready to discuss “really serious proposals” that also take into account the situation on the battlefield.
Russia was not invited to the conference in Switzerland in June. There, participants called for concrete action on nuclear energy and weapons, food security, and prisoners and deportees. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and leaders of several Western countries have said the next peace conference should be organized with Russian participation.
At the peace conference on June 16, Hungary also signed that Ukraine's territorial integrity should form the basis of peace.
