Over the weekend, the António Alexi Stadium in Nagyvárad hosted the Bihari Judo Cup, a competition organized by the Nagyvárad Champions Sports Club, in which clubs from Hungary, the Republic of Moldova, Ukraine, Poland, Serbia and Slovakia also participated. More than 420 athletes gathered for the competition. Crișul Sportklub participated with two groups, one led by Ioana Hanaș and the other led by Olimpia Ianc.
The young judokas coached by Ioana Hanai have won a total of eight medals and three fifth places. Their results were: 1st place – Longo Alexandru, Marian David, 2nd place – Longo Gloria, Tokay Dominic, 3rd place – Just Stefan, Ray Matei, Philippe Bryan, Demin Esteban, 5th place – Marc Gabriel, Voica Adrian, Batia Karina.
The jugglers, who were trained by senior coach Olympia Ian, were enriched with four medals and fifth place. Toma Denisa won a silver medal in the +63 kg category, and Furău Maria placed second in the 36 kg category. Federic Sofia finished third on the podium in the 52kg category, while Jikan Yasmina finished with the bronze in the 23kg category. Alexandra Bondar, in her 36 kg group, missed the podium at the last moment, ending the tournament in fifth place.
