The collection of games previously only available for mobile phones can now be accessed from the Netflix TV app and browser.
Since November 2021, it has steadily expanded the library of games for the Netflix service, with one or two new releases almost every week, titles like Oxenfree II: Lost Signals, one of the best indie games of the year, and subscribers-only playable on mobile devices. Both quality and quantity of games are increasing reasons to subscribe to Netflix not for movies, series, and other video content, but especially for games.
The service is about to step up its game: Some users in the UK and Canada can already test what type of TV or browser to play, using a mobile phone or a keyboard and mouse as a controller.
During semi-public beta testing, two games could be tried this way: one, Oxenfree, and Molehew’s Mining Adventure. If we are going to play on a TV, the console application must be downloaded, and if on a PC or Mac, the keyboard and mouse will help us. The list of supported devices is constantly expanding, but smart TVs from LG and Samsung, Amazon Fire TV, Chromecast using Roku devices, and Nvidia Shield are already available.
The service works using the cloud, in case your internet is unstable you can expect some outages. It is not yet known when testing will end and when the availability of the service will be extended.
