Netflix may be on high alert as it backs Kamala Harris' campaign

Crowds of angry Americans are demanding that people cancel their Netflix subscriptions. The protests come after Reed Hastings, the streaming service’s co-founder and an active Democratic donor, gave $7 million to a political action committee supporting Vice President Kamala Harris’ potential presidential bid. Hastings and his wife, Patty Quillen, are among the Democratic Party’s biggest donors.

Incidentally, Hastings has previously called on President Joe Biden to step down and withdraw from the presidential race.

When Biden announced his ugly downfall, the Netflix co-founder rejoiced on his social media page. “Now is the time to win,” he wrote in a later post.

We canceled Netflix a long time ago, but if you haven't already, now is the time.

An angry user wrote on X.

I unsubscribed yesterday and so did my friends.

Another book.

There are also those who have canceled their subscriptions because Hastings is supporting Harris's campaign with a donation that even the majority of Democratic voters, let alone other citizens, disagree with.
