Filming for the Heartstopper scenes in Burnham continues this week at various locations in the Central Village.
Burnham Park Hall has been booked exclusively for Monday 30 October by See Saw Films, the production company behind the hit teen drama for Netflix.
The third series is currently filming and the council base in Windsor Lane was transformed into a ‘dance studio’ this week.
Cast and crew members occupied the ground floor area, filming scenes in a makeshift ‘dance studio’ from within the main council space known as Huntercombe Hall where formal council meetings are held on a weekly basis.
Half the parking lot was given over to the large convoy of white production trucks and filming took place most of the day.
Other scenes are scheduled to be filmed in the village library and in Burnham Park.
Last week, a large ‘carnival’ was held in the grounds of the former E-Act Burnham Park Academy, a school closed by the Department for Education in 2019.
The empty building and grounds are used to depict ‘Trowham Grammar School for Boys’ in Heartstopper, the fictional school attended by main characters Nick Nelson and Charlie Spring.
The filming attracted large crowds of local residents and Heartstopper fans who took photos and released short snippets of footage online showing the cast enjoying a concert and fairground rides.
Burnham Park Hall is often used as a center for many community groups, clubs and classes, and is available to hire for weddings and events.
