The award is given each year to an expert who has made an outstanding contribution to the project management profession, or to its practical implementation and development.
One of the leading professional organizations in project management, the Project Management Institute (PMI), has recognized Imre Szalay, Managing Director of Neumann Társaság, for decades of work with the “PMI Eric Jenett Person of the Year” award.
As you know, in 2021 the Hungarian branch of the professional organization PMI Budapest decided to establish the PMI Budapest Eric Jenett Award for Excellence in Project Management in Hungary, following the international tradition.
This recognizes the work of those professionals who, with their outstanding performance and contribution to the profession, have left a lasting impression in the field of project management, technical project management, strategic and commercial project management. (Eric Genet was the third PMI member and the first Certified Project Management Professional.)
In 2022, a PMI jury of international experts awarded two professionals the PMI Eric Jenett Personality of the Year award, the professional organization’s most prestigious recognition: one is Imre Szalay, Managing Director of Neumann, and the other is an American Project Management Expert, who has been awarded Recognition of Shivani Gupta’s work.
Prior to taking on the CEO role at Neumann Társaság, Imre Szalay served as Director of System Integration at Digital Equipment Hungary, Director of Professional Services at Compaq Hungary, former Service Manager for Hewlett-Packard, and as an ex-In-house Project Manager. Regulatory Director Vodafone Hungary Hungary.
In the absence of Imre Szalay, László Kremmer, President of PMI Budapest, Hungarian, received the award at the PMI Global Summit 2022 in Las Vegas, organized by PMI, on December 2, 2022.
