New Apple iPads and Beats Solo 4 headphones may also arrive next week

A Bloomberg employee, Mark Gorman He reports that Apple Stores are planning a minor update this week, but says a major update is expected next week — which all sounds like the new iPads expected to be released in the coming days as well as the just-announced M3 MacBook Air models.

Gurman didn't provide any clues about what the new accessory might be, but images of an unannounced Beats Solo 4 headphone were recently found in internal files for the latest iOS 17.4 release.

Beats Solo 4 headphones could be a new accessory

It's been a long time since Apple introduced the Beats Solo 3 – more precisely, it was introduced in September 2016 with the first generation AirPods. These were the first Beats headphones to feature the Apple W1 chip for quick pairing with Apple devices.

The new model will include USB-C and support spatial audio. The discovered images indicate that the new model will be available in black, blue and pink colors.

New iPad Pro models

Gorman has previously hinted that the expected new iPads will be announced in a press release rather than at an event. According to MacRumors, this has also been confirmed by a source of its own, and is expected to be announced this week.

The biggest change in the new iPad Pro models will be the switch to OLED displays. Currently, the 11-inch iPad Pro uses a traditional backlit LCD display. In fact, the 11-inch iPad Pro has been using the same display panel since its launch in 2018.

This year, for the first time, the entire iPad Pro product line has been standardized on OLED displays. This will also be the first time Apple has used OLED displays outside of the iPhone and Apple Watch. The 12.9-inch iPad Pro may be a little larger this year, with a 13-inch screen.

A new version of the Magic Keyboard for iPad is also expected to arrive, which will get a more solid aluminum frame and give it a more MacBook-like appearance.

New iPad Air

While the iPad Air will continue with LCD displays, a new 12.9-inch model is also expected, marking the first time you can buy an iPad in this size without opting for the Pro model.

It is expected to come with a single rear camera, but with flash.
