Compared to previous gaming plans, it's backwards on Tesla's part to remove Valve's gaming platform from the on-board computer of the two models.

05/20/2024 – Tesla is dropping Steam gaming support in its vehicles. I've communicated this to new Model S and X customers. The company bluntly told them that they wouldn't have access to Valve's gaming platform in luxury electric cars, even though it could be very useful for passengers on long trips. Or maybe the problem was that the dog wasn't using it as well?
Although Tesla has already invested heavily in integrating video games, instead of continuing to integrate its online video game store into the car's entertainment system, it is taking the opportunity away from customers. Steam has a huge library of games, including high-powered ones, which, while unusual, seemed like a revolutionary idea to move to passenger cars. But according to them, only for the first time.
This is how steam evaporates from a Tesla
Tesla officially launched the native Steam beta app in new Model S and Model I noticed electricity. In a letter to owners of new Model S and Model
“Tesla is updating the Model [A változás] Any other entertainment and app features will not be affected.
It doesn't sound as though the ability to use Steam will be taken away from existing owners, which wouldn't be unusual, given that the streaming service, Disney+, has done that too: it wasn't available in newly delivered vehicles, but it was. It was not deleted from the one in which it was given.
You may not have to look for the reasons for a long time: as long as it is good to lie in front of the computer or in the living room in front of the keyboard or with the controller, swaying, turning, etc. is inevitable. It is difficult to play while watching a fixed screen in the car. If you need more powerful gaming, you'll likely want to take a portable console like the Steam Deck with you on a longer trip. It is very likely that very few users took advantage of the opportunities provided by Steam, so Tesla has deleted this option. It's unfortunate, but not surprising.
