GTA V has become one of the highest-grossing games of all time, so it’s no surprise that Rockstar is working on a sequel to the next console generation as well. What does this mean? Well, there are obviously graphics improvements to help you immerse yourself in the story further, with 4K resolution, 60fps and other elements of the Xbox and PS5 series.
Rockstar has expanded this information on its website with a new announcement, revealing the three graphic modes of GTA V for the next generation.
As you might already imagine, each achieves 4K resolution and other graphics wonders, although it’s worth noting the differences between each mode:
- Fidelity mode: Higher visual quality at 30 frames per second. In this mode, the Xbox Series X and PS5 achieve native 4K resolution by enabling Ray Tracing, while the Xbox Series S supports enhanced 4K resolution.
- performance mode: Best 60fps gaming experience. The PS5 and Xbox X series support extended 4K resolution, while the Xbox S series achieves 1080p resolution.
- RT performance mode: A combination of the above two modes, with 4K resolution enhanced on PS5 and Xbox X series, 60fps enabled and Ray Tracing.
On the other hand, Rockstar has also shed light on intergenerational gaming. According to their website, Xbox One and PS4 players can port their GTA V and GTA: online games to PS5 and Xbox Series, and between console platforms, with a unique relay.
