Next year, Microsoft Teams will be shutting down on old Android mobile phones

Support for older Android smartphones will end in 2022.

Recently, there have been many people working from home, working remotely, so it has become very fashionable for some companies to use special software for internal business communications as well. Microsoft Teams, among others, has benefited from this, in the form of millions of new users. Many use the service on Android mobile phones.

Thus, devices running Android 5, Android 6, and Android 7 (released between 2014 and 2016) will no longer support Microsoft Teams. Support will end in March, July and September, respectively. The download option will then terminate with a two-month grace period. Microsoft has not revealed when the app will actually close. However, it will send alerts to users for versions older than one year. Many may find themselves in bad shape and will have to buy a mobile phone if they continue with Teams.
