All faculties and campuses of the University of Debrecen once again welcome those interested in science with colorful and diverse programs on Friday, September 29, at Researchers’ Night.
The main mission of this event – in which the Foundation has participated since its inception in 2005 – is to present the everyday side of science in a form that is understandable, accessible and useful to everyone.
– The technical development witnessed in the past decades has made it easier to obtain information, but the actual knowledge and its depth, that is, what science means, is known only to a few people, regardless of their age – he said in the press conference on September 25. Laszlo Cernok.
The Deputy Academic Chancellor of the University of Debrecen (DE) stressed that it is important for the university to make the daily life of the scientific community known as widely as possible, as well as the results achieved at the university, and the Researchers’ Night promotes this endeavor with the help of several programmes.
– It is like “taking science to the streets”, with the hope that through this we can stimulate the imagination of many, including those who might become future scientists – said Laszlo Czernukh.
On Researchers’ Night, all 13 faculties of the university present themselves, and programs are open to those interested in science in Nyérigyháza, Hajdoposzormeni and Szolnok as well as Çivisváros at the various campuses of the University of Debrecen.

The main organizer of the University of Debrecen programs highlighted that one of the most exciting elements of this year’s event will be the landing of an ambulance helicopter on the square in front of the main building, so that those interested can learn the secrets of caring for patients in emergency situations.
The press conference was hosted by the Faculty of Economics (GTK), this time preparing an interactive “Night of Researchers” day with fun people in mind.
