The world’s first all-electric GT supercar is already being produced at Rimac’s new plant on the outskirts of Zagreb. Cars that will be produced in the first year all already have owners. Showcasing the wide range of customization options available to customers, the vehicle number 000 – which Rimac has retained – is finished in bright Callisto Green with a Sand Alcantara interior. For the #001 car, Nico Rosberg deliberately opted for tougher specs – which can best be summed up by what the former driver called “Batmobile specs”.
With Stellar Black paint, polished Vertex wheels and glossy black calipers, this is perhaps the most menacing version of the Nevera to date. The interior is completely black Alcantara with “Nico Rosberg” engraving on the armrest. Nevera’s first customer-owned model will go to the Principality of Monaco, where it will also be the first all-electric supercar.
According to Rosberg, he trusted Rimac’s philosophy from the start and knew he would need such a car. As he said, he is looking forward to testing the car.
green ambassador
After an 11-year career in Formula 1 – which ended with a world championship title in 2016 – Nico Rosberg began his career as a sustainability ambassador and investor in green technologies. It invests in over two dozen mobility startups as well as Formula E. In addition to this, his racing team for the Extreme E Series, Rosberg X Racing, is the 2021 Championship winner and leads the current season as well.
In 2019, Rosberg founded Greentech Festival, a global platform for sustainable innovation and lifestyle.
That was the goal
Mate Rimac, CEO of the Rimac Group, said: “When we started designing the Nevera, we set out to create a car that would wow even the best drivers in the world. Nico was on that list, and it’s great to know that the person who has dominated the most focused motorsport And an evolution in the world enthusiastic about the car we designed and built.”
Rimac Automobili’s global network of 25 dealerships in North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia will sell and service just 150 examples of the model, and Rosberg’s purchased vehicle was the first.
