Shahzada Daoud and Suleiman Dawood
Finally, perhaps the most famous two entrants follow: the Pakistani and British father-son duo. Father Shahzade Daoud was 48 years old, and son Suleiman was only 19 years old.
Shahzada Dawood was the Vice President of Engro, a large Pakistani company with a presence in many industries. Daoud Hercules, the owner of the company, is a family property founded by Shahzadeh’s father, Hossein. The businessman was very interested in nature, but not as adventurous as the three previous passengers.
Presumably, this is also why he brought his 19-year-old son, who was already brought up in England. Solomon loved reading science fiction books, so the interest in the trip was there, and it is believed that he immediately liked the idea of diving, once his father teased the possibility.
The father and son differed from the other participants mainly in that they had never been involved in extreme or adventure sports, flying or scuba diving, so presumably they were unaware of the risks involved in diving to extreme depths with the particular vehicle.
