Once again, Semmelweis University is the best performing Hungarian higher education institution

Significantly improving from last year’s 70th place, this year Semmelweiss University has already been ranked 33rd in the latest Times Higher Education (THE) University Rankings for Emerging Economies.

The University of Emerging Economies Ranking compares universities in emerging economies, and ranks hundreds of higher education institutions in countries on the list based on 13 indicators. After being ranked 70th last year, Semmelweis University has made significant progress:

It reached number 33 in the latest list, making it the best Hungarian higher education institution again

Elite University said on its website.

According to Semmelweis.hu information, among other Hungarian universities on the list, Eötvös Loránd University is 150, Debrecen University 191, Pécs University and Szeged University 201-250. The University of Óbuda, Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Corvinus University of Budapest, Hungarian University of Agricultural and Life Sciences and Pannonia University were awarded 401-500 rank. It closed in at 501st place, while Miskolc University graduated above 501st.

Three Chinese universities, Peking University, Tsinghua University and Zhejiang University, graduated in the top three.
