The Fallout 4 mod that's coming to the finish line after several years of work will be missing from one of the PC stores at first, so those who want to play the London adventures as soon as possible will have to choose an alternative!
Fallout 4’s next-gen update continues to cause problems, in typical Bethesda Game Studios fashion. Two years after its announcement, a 14GB patch suddenly appeared in April of this year, roughly equivalent to . All it achieved was that mods that had worked until now were no longer usable. Team Folon’s timing: It was just days away from the release of Fallout: London when a sudden glitch in Todd Howard’s calculations forced the team to delay the release to fix the bugs the update had caused.
We already wrote about GOG that they have already authenticated the files, but due to the next-gen update, there are additional bugs that modders cannot fix. Also, support for ultrawide monitors and VAT does not work properly. For this reason, the Folon team decided that the mod can only be played on the old Fallout 4, so if we have a version with a next-gen update, it should be neglected first. In the case of GOG, this is not a problem, CD Projekt offers this, and Valve offers a similar convenient mode on Steam (there is also a manual or hardware solution).
The Epic Games Store has been removed from the list. There is no downgrade option there, as Tim Sweeney's doesn't support pulling updates. Because of this, the Epic Games Store's functionality lags behind Steam and GOG. All of this could have been avoided if Bethesda had worked with modders. They are the ones who can keep games alive years after their release. Now only GOG and Team Folon can find a solution to this problem so that Epic Games Store users are not left out.
This is a strange case.
