Our young karatekas returned home with nine medals

The youth section of the university club gave an excellent performance at the World Championships in Serbia.

DEAC Shotokan Karate participated in the SKDUN World Championships in Serbia in recent days. At the Aleksandar Nikolic Hall in Belgrade, 1,350 competitors from 28 countries tested their skills in kata (formal exercise) and kumite (fighting).

The young University of Debrecen team, after winning nine medals at last year's World Cup in Greece, was once again enriched with ten medals.

Our karate results:

Janus Husak: Kihon Ippon Kumite 2nd place, Sanbon Kumite 3rd place, Kata: 8-16.

Adam Buglio: Kihon Ippon Kumite 8-16, Sanbon Kumite 8-16, Kata: 16-32.

Vivian Iris of Seristele: 1st place kata, 2nd place Sanbon Shobu Kumite, 3rd place Ippon Shobu Kumite

Olah Pence: Kata 5-8, 2nd place Kihon Ippon Kumite, 3rd place Ippon Shobu Kumite

Miklos Karalios: Kihon Ippon Kumite 3rd place, Ippon Shobu Kumite 5th place

Dolhai Petra: 2nd place Kihon Ippon Kumite, 6th place Ippon Shobu Kumite

Miklos Karalios – Pence Olah: 5th place in pair kata
