Overwatch 2 will finally be available to everyone from October, we recently found out from Blizzard. The developers have not yet disclosed many others at the time, all other information has been reserved for a separate presentation.
Over the weekend, Overwatch 2 also took part in a joint demo between Xbox and Bethesda, where we were able to not only know when the game (even if it’s only in Early Access), but also will be free to play. However, Blizzard didn’t film everything after that, and instead promised Overwatch 2 would have its own show today.
Blizzards also sat for forty minutes to share a lot of information with those interested. The first season with early access will focus on PvP content: it will include an all-new 5v5 lineup, the newly introduced Sojourn and Junker Queen, a hitherto unknown supporting character and the new Push game mode.
A season pass will also be offered, which will change every nine weeks (that’s what it promises for the duration of the season) – and with Blizzard offering it, it will also be giving away loot boxes. In addition, we will be able to get cosmetics not by chance, but by purchasing in a store or by passing.
Each season brings with it something new or a hero, or if not, a new map or game mode. Season 2 will start on December 6th with the arrival of Tank, for example. Overwatch 2’s PvE mode can be expected through 2023, and new content will continue to arrive there as well.
We’ve also heard a lot about Junker Queen, which is boosting the Tanks line, but if you’re only interested in the character’s first video, you’ll find it here above.
Overwatch 2 will also launch on October 4th on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
