The flagrant The French brand is working on a first-person shooter that might have a similar style to its April 28 Battle Royale farewell, Hyperscape.
First of all, it should be noted that the Pathfinder name is not official yet. It might just be a code name (similar to the very hidden Blue Box Game Studios name), but it looks like a mission-oriented version of the usual battle royale formula. They are dropped on the map at the start of the match and teams of four have to fight their way through two walls. Both walls will have many gates. The goal is to get to the middle of the path, and here the task will be to defeat a boss guided by artificial intelligence.
Of course, it is not easy to pass through the gate. There will be randomly closed gates while you can pass through some of them. Teams have to determine the route to the center of the map during each match, while also battling opponents with AI guidance (and getting closer to the center). This is why Pathfinder is a PvPvE lineup, where teams have to fight each other to succeed.
Players’ characters are called heroes (heroes…a la Overwatch?) with unique abilities, but there are no specifics yet. There will also be a central hub where players can run with each other, perform shooting exercises or even run races with vehicles. There will also be an in-game shop (microtransactions…) and other activities in the center. It’s also a bit like Hunt: Showdown, only that could be done with a sci-fi style idea that’s going to happen in the near future.
The to Ubisoft You have to differentiate Pathfinder and Hyper Scape, which fails really badly (you still have three weeks to try, but you can ask why), otherwise long life isn’t guaranteed here either. Anyway, PCGamer has confirmed from its source that Pathfinder is indeed in development, and Exputer has heard about the game from three sources…
