Poco has come up with a 5G-enabled tablet

Xiaomi is already increasingly involved in the development of tablets, and it is paying off: according to IDC data, sales figures are actually up. The company managed to grow by 94.7% year-on-year last time, and needless to say, they have highlighted it with pride, and according to the signs, they are doing it to make growth permanent.

A tablet has just arrived that doesn't cost an astronomical sum, but actually offers support for the 5G mobile network. We can recognize the Poco Pad 5G, which uses a 12.1-inch display based on IPS technology. The screen has a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and can operate at a frequency of 120 Hz. It even offers HDR support (Dolby Vision, 10 bits), and it is a particular pleasure that Gorilla Glass 3 protects its surface.

It is also good news that the new Poco tablet comes with Android 14, which will already have the HyperOS graphical user interface. Here you can count on many additions that are provided to serve the larger screen. There is support for the pen, and you can also use a physical row of buttons, which can be used to increase productivity. The Poco Pad 5G will also work well with Xiaomi mobile phones.

Photography will not be the product's strong point, as it only uses 8-megapixel cameras. There is a solution with an 8-megapixel sensor on the front and back, the difference between them is that the main camera is now able to focus automatically, while users have to give up on it in the companion. The only good news about the cameras is the presence of an auxiliary LED light on the back, so that the image creator can work even in poor lighting conditions.

The Poco Pad 5G is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, thanks to which its performance will be sufficient for normal everyday use. It will help a lot during use that the device has 8 GB of memory, regardless of the design, so that open applications run smoothly in the background, and multitasking can be performed smoothly while using several applications in parallel. Storage can be 128 or 256 GB, and there is even the possibility of expansion.

The most important feature of the Poco Pad 5G is the presence of the 5G mobile network modem indicated in its name, which allows “riding” the Sub-6 frequency band, while also providing 4G LTE support. There is also support for Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, and an A-GPS receiver has appeared with 5G, so the novelty can be operated even on the go, and it can be an even more useful companion while traveling .

The tablet is 7.5mm thick and weighs 568 grams. The frame is made of aluminum alloy and the back is also made of metal. It will radiate a good sense of quality. The new product will be available in stores in dark blue and green. The Poco Pad 5G has an anti-drip coating, so it can withstand moisture splashes without any problems.

In addition to Dolby Vision, there is also Dolby Atmos support. The Poco Pad 5G has four speakers, it will provide powerful stereo sound and will also try to provide surround sound. Here you can find a USB-C connector and a 3.5 mm jack on the frame. It will be possible to charge the novelty with a power of 33 W. The operating time will be good, it will last up to 17 hours on a single charge, thanks to the 10,000 mAh battery.
