In the documentary about the making of Katseye, twenty aspiring K-pop stars take part in a training program for K-pop. The Katseye team was selected in Los Angeles, and the goal was to assemble a “global girl group.” Regardless, the American dominance can be seen, with three American girls: Lara, Daniela, and Megan—Manon from Switzerland, Sophia from the Philippines, and Yoonchae from South Korea. Those who love dance shows and reality music shows, who are not entirely familiar with K-pop and are interested in how the super productions are put together, mostly by unknown young people, may find it interesting.
