Kimi Raikkonen scored his first point of the season. The Alfa Romeo driver got a red flag break, which could have been better, but worse.
Once, Kimi Raikkonen seemed to score, but the Finn lost ninth place at Imola due to a rather ridiculous penalty. What did not meet then was now managed in the chaos of Baku.
The 2007 world champion was 13-15 throughout the race. He drove all over the place, but the red flag interruption after the Verstappen puncture and subsequent restart worked well for Alfa Romeo, who earned a point in its second race
“Not much happened to me in the race,” Raikkonen complained. “Except for the last two laps, it was pretty boring, so it’s good to be able to take at least one point from here. Overtaking has proven very difficult for us.”
“We picked the pace of the drivers in front relatively easily and then caught up, but we couldn’t do the maneuver. The restart that followed the red flag was quite frantic. We could have gotten out of it better, but we could have been a lot worse, so we accept the point. one”.
“Overall, I think that’s all we can get out of today’s race,” concluded Raikkonen, who can say he’s scored points in both his F1 career so far.
