February 24 is also Curling Day in Canada.

The Midland Curling Club will bring the community together for day-long events. Events include a mini bonspiel, Canada's Big Shootout, a skills challenge, a Discover Curling House open house with pizza and pop, and much more.

The afternoon will include a tailgate event in the parking lot between 2 and 4 p.m., including our local fire department. Bounce 104.1 Radio will be available with giveaways, and ground coffee will be available with hot chocolate. The tailgate event comes in support of the CLH Foundation and Bridge the Gap. This specific initiative comes in recognition of the additional stressors the pandemic has brought to members of the CLH-supported independent living program. Visit the curling club by donating food or cash and enter to win prizes.

Graeme Guy, President of the Midland Curling Club: “We are very excited about the number of events we have planned for National Curling Day. We have something for everyone during our all-day event. The club is opening its doors to welcome the community. We hope you can come out and enjoy your day with us and discover the sport of curling In addition to supporting the CLH Foundation and Bridge the Gap.

For additional information regarding the event, call Graeme Jay at 705-529-5305 or visit midlandcurlingclub.com.
