The Redmi Note 13 smartphones were launched recently, but work never stops in the Chinese company’s workshop, as the brand is preparing other mobile phones in addition to them, which will also be unveiled this year. It concerns the Redmi K70 series, about which no official information has been shared yet, but leakers have already begun their research work. For example, someone recently noticed the appearance of a device with model number 23117RK66C Geekbench In its database, someone is supposed to be testing the Redmi K70 Pro.
The prototype tested ran the Android 14 operating system during testing, and the device was equipped with 16 GB of RAM. Inside the alleged Redmi K70 Pro is an octa-core CPU in a 1+2+5 configuration, with the base core frequency set at 3.19GHz.
The chipset driving the phone will likely be the yet-to-be-announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, but it’s worth waiting for other sources to confirm that. Obviously, the results shown here should not be taken too seriously, as it is a prototype, and the performance of the device on sale may vary significantly.
In any case, it’s not at all unlikely that Qualcomm’s upcoming best-in-class chip will actually power the phone, given that last year’s Redmi K60 Pro was topped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. The No. 3 chip is expected to be unveiled in October in Qualcomm’s annual Snapdragon Summit event.
As for the Redmi K70 models, it is not yet known when they are scheduled to be announced, but since the previous generation was presented in the last days of December 2022, there is a possibility that its official unveiling will take place at the end of 2022. This year as well. We expect at least two models to arrive.
