After a wave of rumors and leaks, Xiaomi has officially confirmed that the Redmi Note 14 series will be unveiled next week. The announcement was made on the Chinese people's favorite social network, Weibo, which was accompanied by a poster showing two members of the series.
Just to clarify quickly: we didn’t forget to write the date, even the manufacturer didn’t announce it, so it will be a surprise. Looking closely at the teaser image, we can see that the devices have a curved design and a rounded square camera module. In one case, the image recording modules are placed under a glass panel, giving the camera a clean look, while in the other, rings are used to house the sensors.
This is good because at least we won't be confusing the new items. Durability and reliability will be key for the Redmi Note 14 models. Redmi emphasizes the smartphones' water resistance and drop resistance, and they promise fair warranty terms.
Customers can now pre-order through the Redmi website (currently only in China), thus securing their own version of the device they want. The series will consist of 3 models: in addition to the Redmi Note 14, a Pro and Pro+ version will also be launched. The Redmi Note 14 will be equipped with a 1.5K (1440 pixels) AMOLED display, an improvement over the Full HD+ display of the previous models. There is a 50MP triple camera imaging system on the back of the smartphone, and the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset is installed inside.
The Pro and Pro+ could get a 1.5K curved OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The higher-end models will get the same 50MP triple-camera system, but will have a different hardware platform on the inside. The Pro model is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, while the Pro+ will be powered by the Dimensity 7350 chipset. The Pro+ is rumored to support 90W fast charging.
