Maui County Small Business Week begins on Sunday, April 28 and ends on Saturday, May 4, 2024.
“Finding ways to help our local small and micro businesses overcome their challenges is a win-win,” said Dominic Soguitan, president of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce of Maui, one of 12 collaborating organizations in the 2024 Maui Philippine Business Conference. “We can't drop the ball on our end even when these resilient companies start showing signs of giving up,” Soguitan added.
The 2024 MauiSBW program includes four educational events designed for individual companies and SMEs. Everyone in Maui County is invited to attend. Since these four events are virtual events – presented live and without registration, we also encourage businesses from other counties in the state of Hawaii to attend.
“I personally own a business, am a partner in a business with my husband, manage a vacation rental for a small business owner who puts me on the payroll, and help HBC which has a large number of businesses and non-profits as members who support our Hāna community,” said Heidi Leah, Director Hana Business Council Executive: “Running a private business in an island economy comes with a lot of additional challenges – even in normal times,” which is why HBC is also collaborating on the 2024 MauiSBW.
