RTL Hungary has announced that starting March 5, all three RTL+ packages will be available in the RTL+ Android TV app.
As a streaming service provider, it is extremely important for RTL that all three service packages of the RTL+ streaming platform are present on as many smart devices as possible in as many living rooms as possible. Thanks to the current innovation, owners of devices running at least version 10 of the Android TV operating system – such as certain models of Panasonic, Philips, Sony, Sharp or Hisense brand TVs popular in Hungary – as well as Yettel TV Box users can now access to RTL+ on the big screen, displaying content for all three packages – RTL+ Light, RTL+ Active, and RTL+.
On the RTL+ Light platform, most RTL programs can be rewatched for a set period of time after their appearance on TV. In this section, users may also encounter advertisements.
In order to access the contents of the RTL+ Active platform, in addition to mandatory registration, an activation code is required, which is available to authorized subscribers through contracted cable TV providers. Compared with the RTL+ Light version, RTL+ Active has a richer set of programs, programs are available for a longer period and most content can be enjoyed in FullHD (1080p) quality. On the RTL+ Active front, the user can experience much less ads compared to RTL+ Light.
