Russian intelligence chief: Washington and London urge Kiev to expand mobilization

Washington and London are urging Kiev to expand mobilization to the maximum extent, including recruiting men between the ages of 17 and 70, as well as continuing the recruitment of women, said Sergei Nareskin, director of Russia’s foreign intelligence service (SZVR). This came in a statement issued by the organization’s press office on Monday.

Referring to what he called reliable information, Nareskin said that the purpose of this action was to compensate for the heavy losses in personnel incurred during the failed counteroffensive in Ukraine, as well as to try to make people believe that Russia had won the conflict in Ukraine. Ukraine is impossible. He claimed that based on American and British “instructions”, Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustam Umarov proposed to Parliament to consider the possibility of lowering the minimum age for conscription.

As he said, a legislative proposal has been registered in the Ukrainian Legislative Council, according to which the age limit for conscripts will be raised from 60 to 65 years, and for command personnel from 65 to 70 years. The head of Russian intelligence compared this to the last hours of the Nazi empire.

According to Nareskin, the serious shortage of human resources on the front forces Kiev to mobilize more and more women, whose number in the Ukrainian army “according to Western estimates is more than 40 thousand.”

The Kiev regime has already raised the minimum age for women to be called up for military service to 60 years. But this is not enough for Kiev. The Ukrainian military leadership requests an expansion of the list of women’s professions subject to mobilization” – Tell.

According to the military report of the Russian Ministry of Defense, on Monday, the Russian army repelled five attacks on three fronts. About 270 Ukrainian soldiers were killed or wounded in fighting along the front line over the past day.
