From a situation report prepared by the Ukrainian General Staff in the early evening, Okranska Pravda highlighted that Russia continues its show of force on Ukraine’s northern border: it has withdrawn several units from its Western Military District to the Bryansk and Kursk regions. In addition, Russian forces fired again last day in Chernihiv and Sumy provinces in northern Ukraine.

According to the General Staff, the Russian forces continue to make efforts to establish complete control over the Donetsk lands, to retain the occupied territories of the Kherson province, parts of the Kharkiv, Zaporozhye and Mykolaiv regions, and to restore the combat capability of its units. To prevent possible counterattacks by Ukrainian forces. The military command in Kyiv added that air and missile strikes against civilian targets in Ukraine were continuing.
