Over the past few weeks, countless military convoys associated with the Wagner Group have marched through the territory of Belarus. The open goal for the team’s moves is for a Russian mercenary company to gain a foothold in Belarus, after Yevgeny Prigozhin’s rebellion causes the loss of Wagner in Russia.
The Belarusian exhibitions Hajun project now satellite images Publication, which clearly shows that the Wagner Group has acquired a construction complex near the settlement of Syl in the central part of Belarus. Russian mercenaries brought hundreds of vehicles – mostly trucks and personnel carriers – to the area.
Hagun didn’t elaborate, but the building complex appears to be an abandoned or evacuated military base. Earlier, the Belarusian state media wrote that the Minsk government was going to build a huge barracks complex for the Wagner Group, and then Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said that there was no such thing, Russian mercenaries would live in tents. Looks like they managed to find a solution between the two.
There are currently about 20,000 Wagner mercenaries in Belarus or on their way to the country from Ukraine and Russia.
