As Origo reported, the first Primark store in Hungary has opened in Budapest's Arena Plaza. The opening of the store with a floor area of 3,100 square meters was accompanied by noisy scenes, which aroused the curiosity of many people about the store’s prices and offers. The global company and several other famous fashion stores, such as H&M, announced that they will use new solutions to reduce the amount of clothing waste in time to open the first store in Hungary.
But not only the company and customers were waiting for the store to open in Hungary, the fraudsters were also waiting. Fraudsters abusing the Primark name and targeting customers are primarily trying to get customers' money through fake websites, which they pretend to be an online Primark store in Hungary, without sending anything to the orders placed.
Attempts to defraud customers – and their money – are particularly concerning because… Criminals tried to commit fraud even before the actual store opened. As Világgazdaság reported in mid-April, although the opening of the Budapest store was already confirmed, it did not have an online store.
Before the opening of the Primark store in Budapest, it was only possible to purchase from the company online in Great Britain, however, the customer could also encounter different interfaces in the Hungarian language in the weeks and months leading up to the opening of the Budapest store. Fraudsters became more active again – or rather remained so – during the store opening period, and as IT security Experts draw attention to thisthey are once again trying to defraud Hungarian customers with non-existent online Hungarian Primark stores.
However, the Irish company does not deliver,
Therefore, any site that offers the possibility of purchasing products with delivery is clearly a fraudulent site and can be linked to criminals who misuse the company's name.
You definitely know about a scam website. Primark currently has only one official website, which is guaranteed to belong to the company, specifically at the following address: https://www.primark.com/hu-hu. Any other website address different from this one belongs to scammers, so you are advised to avoid it.
They also try to scam people hoping to get franchise rights
Moreover, as As shown by the warning published by the companyscammers try to deceive not only consumers, but also well-intentioned businesses who trust that they can enter into a franchise partnership with the company.
