Seven removed from women's polo team

After the warm-up match against Canada, the captains of the women's national water polo team narrowed down their squad: seven players were removed from the list, so sixteen players will continue their preparations for the Olympic Games.

According to the Hungarian FA, Sándor Cseh and Attila Mihok decided based on the training sessions of the past weeks, the training sessions with two goals against Canada and the official warm-up match, who has a chance to join the Olympic team. (Thirteen players can participate in the matches.) Two goalkeepers (Turma Luka, Ljella Maczko) and five players (Baksa Vanda, Dubi Durina, Dalma Domsudi, Mate Zsuzana, Taiba Bana) were selected from the 23-man squad.

The Hungarian women's polo team is taking part in an international tournament in Athens this weekend, and from there it will travel to Los Angeles, where it will train for a week and a half with the US national team, winners of the last three Olympics. After returning home, the schedule will be limited to training sessions, and according to the association, young goalkeeper Luca Turma will continue to help the team in these sessions.
