An American meat processing company said it would recall tons of chicken parts after metal pieces were found in the product. According to the company, the voluntary recall comes “out of an abundance of caution.”
Meat processor Tyson Foods has recalled approximately 13,608 kilograms of chicken nuggets.
One factory was affected, with product shipped to nine US states, including Alabama, California and Illinois.
The US Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) said it received a report of a minor mouth injury.
The chicken snacks affected by the recall are dinosaur-shaped “fun nuggets.”

Several consumers reported finding small, flexible pieces of metal in the product, so the company has recalled this product as a precaution

Tyson added that customers who purchased the product should throw it away and contact the company for a refund. BBC.
This isn’t the first time Tyson has had to recall a product.
Last November, “mirror-like” pieces were found in ground beef. In 2019, customers found pieces of blue rubber in chicken nuggets.
