It was one of the iconic scenes in the original Matrix trilogy, when in the second movie Neo fights hundreds of Smith’s agents simultaneously between homes. The film had a huge impact on action films of the 2000s, which currently cannot be produced without the use of a lot of CGI. Whether this is a good or bad thing is a matter of individual taste.
But returning to this iconic wrestling scene, they once tried to rebuild it later in the 2005 game The Matrix: Path of Neo. Due to technical limitations at the time, it was actually a four- to five-man wrestling, with hundreds of low-res Agent Smith models swinging back and forth in the background. It’s a smile at most with eyes today, but it was pretty cool at the time.
Now, however, we can watch the same wrestling in another match. It appeared a few weeks ago SevoFor a mod in which the protagonist is replaced by Neo and his opponents are replaced by Smith’s agents. And on the path in the museum, you can go to Sifu mode of give and take, as is In a video shared on Twitter It can also be seen. Although Sifu lacks finishing moves against multiple opponents, the scene still speaks for itself.
As far as we know, no new Matrix game is currently in development, but even if it were, we hope the developers will check this mode themselves out to see if they can sketch an idea or two of it. ■
