– There were a lot of people involved in Mr. Universe, only in my category almost thirty people entered, and we were not even on stage at the same time, it took at least an hour and a half to wait and perform on stage. The judges did not have an easy task either – Dénes, who believes the result is realistic, reported that he could have taken one or two places ahead, but also in the back. One of the strongest classes, he says, is where bodybuilders with experience and knowledge compete.
– But the grapes are sour because of the European Championship. I should have won, and the audience who expressed their displeasure saw it too, – said the bodybuilder from Piquiscapa about the continental championship. – I wanted a big challenge and was not disappointed, and by the end of the competition I was so tired that – even if it was possible – I could no longer accept the open category. The truth is that although the preparations went well, I would have needed at least three more weeks to get into my best shape.
The location was unusual, the stage was set up on the beach, the competition was watched by a large number of swimmers and, according to Denis, no less than a thousand spectators watched the developments.
– I have an invitation to attend the Spanish and Swiss Grand Prix in September, and this is an honor for me. I even thought of postponing my level for this period, but I haven’t decided yet. Surely, this result will motivate me to prepare more for Mr. Universe next year! – The President of Fanatic Body & Fitness Power has already looked ahead.
