Smartphones get ecopoints

The end result is calculated from five sub-scores: durability, reparability, recycling, climate efficiency and resource efficiency.

In the EA program, Bullitt Group (the manufacturer of CAT and Motorola rugged), Doro, HMD Global (Nokia), Huawei, MobiWire, Motorola / Lenovo, OnePlus, Oppo, Samsung, TCL / Alcatel, Xiaomi and ZTE participate. Apple is the only major manufacturer that has refused to allow service providers to refuse to register their smartphones.

The stickers are expected to be available at mobile outlets in June in the twenty-four European countries they cover.
