Snapdragon X Elite, Qualcomm’s latest chip for ARM-based laptops, has been introduced.
In addition to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, Qualcomm also introduced a high-end processor dedicated to Windows ARM laptops, which is also made with 4nm manufacturing technology, but has 12 high-performance Oryon cores, which operate at a frequency of 3.8 GHz on a single processor. core, and up to 4.3 GHz dual-core clock is also available.
Qualcomm according to Its chip delivers the multi-threaded performance of Intel’s 13th generation processors with 68% lower consumption. Compared to Apple’s M2 chip, the Snapdragon processor delivers 50% better peak multi-threaded performance, according to the manufacturer.
The Hexagon NPU has up to 45 levels of performance, which is useful during generative AI activities. The chip can manage parameters running on more than 13 billion devices and can generate 30 tokens per second.
The chip supports LPDDR5X memory with a bandwidth of up to 136 GB/s, as well as a total cache of 42 MB, and PCIe Gen4 and UFS 4.0 storage technologies are also supported.
The FastConnect 7800 Wi-Fi module supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, and the Snapdragon X65 5G can achieve download speeds of up to 10Gbps.
Thanks to the Qualcomm Aqstic DAC, lossless audio playback is also possible, the Spectra image processor manages an up to 36MP dual camera, and 4K HDR video recording is no problem either.
