Snooker World Cup: Higgins continued his winning streak

The 47-year-old Scottish legend and four-time world champion has reached the second round for the 25th time at the Crucible Theatre.

Gary Wilson could also continue in the top 16, although the 15th seed had little difficulty getting past Elliot Slessor.

Robert Milkins and Joe Perry also started their duel. The two English teams were supposed to play the first half of their match on Monday, but due to the red dust incident, that did not happen until Tuesday. Perry pulled away surprisingly smoothly 7-2 — a fight that will continue Thursday morning.
